Powell Butte National Park

MONDAY AUGUST 27 POWELL BUTTE NATIONAL PARK TRAIL:

Located in SE Portland.

MEET AT 10AM IN PARKING AREA! START HIKE at 10:15am

3.1 mile EASY loop – 300 feet elevation Gain

This Butte is a Volcano Cone less than 10 million years old.

Directions: –drive time 20 mins. TAKE EXIT 19 OF I-205 FOLLOW SE POWELL BLD EASTWARD 3.5 MILES, TURN RIGHT ON 162ND AVE. FOLLOW ROAD TO (last) PARKING AREA. This is also a tri-met #9 stop (corner of Powell & 162th)

I am told that there are some of fruit trees on this hike! Yummy!

Bring your Lunch or snack. Bring enough water for you and your child(ren). Dress for the weather (layers? rain coat?). Wear comfortable shoes (running shoes, trail shoes, hiking sandals).

Make sure that your child(ren) are prepared for the 3.1 mile loop OR that you have a Hiking carry pack to carry your child.
